Choosing a Floorplan: Designed for Altadena Rebuilds

When rebuilding after a wildfire, choosing a floorplan isn’t about starting from scratch — it’s about finding a home that fits the realities of rebuilding in Altadena.

At Remington Rebuilds, our floorplans were thoughtfully designed specifically for wildfire rebuilds in this community. They reflect local lot conditions, rebuilding considerations, and the way families in Altadena live — indoors and outdoors.

Thoughtfully Designed — Not One-Size-Fits-All

We’ve created a carefully curated collection of floorplans that address a wide range of needs.

Our plans include:

  • A variety of home sizes and layouts

  • One-story and two-story designs (with additional two-story options coming)

  • Flexible bedroom and bathroom configurations

  • ADU options with and without garages

Each plan is complete and intentional — designed to support clarity and reduce unnecessary complexity during rebuilding.

Designed for Indoor–Outdoor Living

Outdoor living is central to life in Altadena, and we designed every floorplan with that in mind.

All of our homes include both front and rear outdoor living spaces, creating a welcoming entry experience and a private backyard extension of the home. Almost all of these spaces are covered — helping create a harmonious transition between indoor and outdoor areas.

Many of our plans expand this idea even further:

  • The 201, 202, 203, and 204 plans include three distinct outdoor living areas.

  • The 204 plan offers three covered outdoor spaces, each with a defined purpose and connection to the interior.

  • The 205 and 206 plans feature extended rear outdoor living areas that span portions of both the side and rear of the home.

  • The 205 plan, in particular, includes two separate but expansive covered outdoor spaces that support gathering and everyday use.

  • The 207 plan, our largest one story plan, features two covered outdoor spaces that span the front and rear of the home.

These aren’t afterthought patios. They’re integrated architectural features — designed to extend the home’s livable space and support the Southern California climate.

One Story and Two Story Options

Some homeowners prefer the simplicity and accessibility of a one-story home. Others benefit from the efficiency and spatial flexibility of a two-story layout.

Our floorplans provide both options — allowing families to choose what best fits their lot, lifestyle, and long-term goals.

ADUs Designed With Purpose

Accessory Dwelling Units are increasingly part of rebuilding conversations in Altadena. We offer ADU floorplans both with and without garages, thoughtfully designed to complement the primary home.

For some homeowners, an ADU supports multigenerational living. For others, it provides flexibility for guests, rental potential, or future needs. These options are built into our planning process — not positioned as upgrades, but as practical solutions.

Rebuilding Is Different Than a Traditional New Build

Rebuilding after wildfire carries unique considerations — from insurance timing to permitting to emotional readiness.

Our floorplans are designed to simplify the process. They provide meaningful choice without unnecessary complexity, helping homeowners move forward with clarity.

These homes were designed for Altadena — its lots, its climate, and the families rebuilding here.
