Great Homes Start With Great Plans: Inside Our 206 Floor Plan

When rebuilding a home, one of the most important decisions happens early: choosing the right floorplan.

A good floorplan does more than organize rooms. It shapes how a home lives day to day — how spaces connect, how light moves through the home, and how families gather, relax, and move between indoors and outdoors.

At Remington Rebuilds, we believe great homes start with great plans. Our floorplans were thoughtfully designed with rebuilding homeowners in mind, balancing efficiency, comfort, and connection to outdoor living.

One example is our 206 Plan, a single-story home designed to feel both open and private while making the most of every square foot.

See the 206 Plan in Detail

We recently created a new 3D floorplan visualization of the 206 plan to help homeowners better understand how the spaces connect and flow together.

Seeing the layout from this perspective makes it easier to imagine daily life in the home — from the central kitchen and dining areas to the outdoor patios and private bedroom wings.

A Thoughtful Layout

At the center of the 206 plan is an open kitchen and dining area that naturally anchors the home.

This central space connects easily to the living room and outdoor patio, creating a natural gathering area for everyday life. Whether it’s family dinners, morning coffee, or time with friends, the layout encourages connection while still allowing each area to feel distinct.

The goal is simple: a home that feels intuitive and comfortable to live in.

Private Bedroom Wings

While the central living areas bring people together, the bedroom layout provides separation and quiet.

In the 206 plan, bedrooms are positioned away from the main living spaces, creating private bedroom wings that help maintain comfort and privacy. The primary suite sits apart from the secondary bedrooms, giving homeowners a quiet retreat within the home.

This type of layout works especially well for families, guests, or multigenerational living.

Indoor–Outdoor Living

One feature that sets many of our plans apart is the emphasis on outdoor living spaces.

The 206 plan includes covered patios that extend the living areas outdoors. These spaces create a natural transition between inside and outside, allowing homeowners to enjoy Altadena’s climate year-round.

Covered patios also provide shade and flexibility — perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing, or gathering with friends.

Flexible Space for Modern Living

Today’s homes often need to serve more than one purpose.

The 206 plan includes a dedicated office or flex room, which can adapt to a variety of needs — working from home, hobbies, guest space, or even a small studio or reading room.

This flexibility allows homeowners to shape the space around their lifestyle rather than the other way around.

Efficient Design

One of the hallmarks of a well-designed floorplan is efficiency.

The 206 plan was created to minimize wasted space and maximize livability, ensuring that square footage is used thoughtfully rather than simply adding more rooms or hallways.

This results in a home that feels spacious and comfortable without unnecessary complexity.
