Rebuilding after wildfire can feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many decisions to make at once.

Before choosing finishes, finalizing plans, or moving into construction, many homeowners are simply trying to understand where to begin, what happens next, and how all the pieces fit together.

Join us May 28 for Let’s Talk Rebuilding with Holly + Holly

We’re hosting a small, informal Rebuilding 101 Q&A at our Altadena office for homeowners who want to better understand the process, ask questions, and learn what next steps may look like.

Holly + Holly will be there to walk through the process in plain language, from the first conversation and lot review to plans, pricing, permitting, construction, and next steps.

May 28 | 6–8 PM | 2450 N Lake Ave., Altadena

RSVP for the Q&A

Rebuilding Starts With a Conversation

The first step does not need to be a major commitment.

For many homeowners, rebuilding begins with a conversation about their lot, their goals, their timing, and the questions they are still working through. Some homeowners are ready to move quickly. Others are still reviewing insurance, exploring options, or trying to understand what may be possible on their property.

That is okay.

The early stage is about listening, understanding the homeowner’s situation, and helping identify the next practical step.

Understanding Your Lot and Options

Every rebuild begins with the property.

Before a homeowner can make confident decisions, it helps to understand what may work on the lot, what site conditions may need to be reviewed, and which home plans may be a good fit.

This can include looking at lot size, setbacks, grading, access, foundation considerations, utility conditions, and other site-specific factors that may affect the rebuild.

The goal is to move from uncertainty to a clearer starting point.

Choosing a Plan and Direction

Once there is a better understanding of the lot, homeowners can begin reviewing floorplans, elevations, ADU options, garage configurations, and possible adjustments.

At Remington Rebuilds, our homes are designed to give homeowners a more structured path than a fully custom build, while still allowing for thoughtful flexibility where it makes sense. You can also learn more about our rebuilding process.

This helps homeowners make progress without starting from a blank page.

Moving Through Design, Pricing, and Permitting

After a plan direction is selected, the process moves into more detailed planning.

This may include architectural drawings, engineering, plan coordination, pricing review, and permit preparation. This stage is important because it helps define the scope of work before construction begins.

Clear documentation matters. It helps homeowners understand what is included, where allowances or site-related items may need to be reviewed, and what decisions still need to be made before building.

Construction: Progress in Milestones

Once permits and construction documents are in place, the rebuild moves into construction.

Construction happens in phases, from site preparation and foundation work to framing, rough mechanical systems, insulation, drywall, finishes, and final walkthrough.

Each milestone represents progress, but it also brings decisions, coordination, and communication. Having an experienced builder managing the process helps keep the work organized and moving forward.

A More Coordinated Path Forward

Rebuilding requires more than a floorplan. It requires coordination between design, permitting, estimating, construction, selections, communication, and warranty support.

Our goal is to help simplify that process for homeowners by providing a more structured path from early planning through move-in.

Rebuilding is a lot to navigate, but homeowners do not have to figure it out alone.
